New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo announced Monday that Frontier Communications will pay up to $50,000 in refunds and credits to some customers because Cuomo says it failed to provide adequate notice of early termination fees to consumers.

In a statement Monday, Cuomo said, “Frontier failed to spell out in its contracts the existence of costly fees. The company is now fixing the issue by providing written notices of these fees and paying back consumers who were wrongfully charged.”
